Membership meetings

Regular quarterly meetings are held to discuss association matters as well as concerns of individual members.

 
Care giving

The association has trained carers to give support when and if necessary to needy members. The association carers are also available to extend support to other members of the community.

 
General welfare advise and Cultural and Religious events organizing.

The association gives top priority to the general welfare of members. It also assists members in their social and economic matters.

 
Signposting

Chesterfield Senegambia association priorities support to our members to ensure they have current, relevant & accurate information and access to services and support.

 
Membership social gatherings

The association's social gatherings include ceremonies such as naming and wedding, festivals such as religious and multinational ones are also observed by the association.

 
Children play together sessions

Children of association members are usually facilitated to interact in play and home visits with parent's supervision. They are also encouraged to interact with other children of the community.

The association intends to facilitate counseling services to the children of its members.

 
Enhancing Security project

Enhancing Security project FUNDED BY Police & Crime Commissioner's Vulnerability Fund, providing CCTV camera systems and door chains for vulnerable members.

 
COVID 19 awareness training

COVID 19 awareness training and mental health enhancement project FUNDED BY Derbyshire County Council's COVID 19 Emergency Fund, providing tablets for members to keep in touch virtually to provide COVID 19 related information and training and other key health messages and combat isolation and loneliness.

 
Sitting service

Links CVS would like to empower member organisations of the Derbyshire BME Forum to establish a culturally appropriate sitting service for vulnerable members of the diverse BME communities

 
BME Mental Health Project

Chesterfield Senegambia association appreciates the mental health project sponsored by the North Derbyshire and Hardwick clinical commissioning group. and would refer any member of the association who needs help under these services.

 
Race & Religion Hate Crime

The members of the association will be enlightened about race and religious hate crime. And would seeking funding for training in this area.
